I speak french pretty well, and most sites I have been to, to learn new stuff and keep it fresh in my mind, translate in broken sentences that really would make no sense in the real world. Most of them are good for just nouns, not conjugations and verbs. If you pay for a monthly membership though, it will give you a precise translation of whole sentences. Depending on how much you need to translate, it could be worth it.
Also, if you have a Mac, you can add a translator widget to your dashboard [for free!] which is very accurate and true to dialect, including conjugations, verbs, and even accent marks. I have stopped going to translation sites altogether. Hope that helps!
