When I type in the French language, I have no idea how to put those accent marks above the letters on my keyboard? Anyone know how or is there a certain keyboard I need to buy?
ç, ê, ä, â, ê, é, à,

Two ways:
Memorize the ALT key stroke for the symbol you will use alot. You hold down the ALT key while hitting the numbers on your 10-key that correspond with the symbol you need.
You can find them here:
http://www.forlang.wsu.edu/help/keyboards.asp
OR:
On your computer, click on Start, then RUN, type in CharMap and click ok. Then find the symbol you need and click on "Copy". Then you can paste it into your document.
I find it easier to memorize the ones you use. For example, I write alot of recipes, so I use ALT+171 and ALT+172 for ½ & ¼.

There are several ways to do that. One of them is to hold down the "Alt" key and type a 3 digit code listed for the character you are typing. This link – http://french.about.com/library/bl-accents.htm – shows you the list of characters.
You can also use control panel to choose various types of keyboards including the french keyboard. Here is a link for that – http://french.about.com/library/bl-accents.htm.
Good luck…

They’re Alt codes…you hit "Alt" then a certain combination of four numbers. Check the site below for the combination for the letters you need.
