I am trying to help advanced French students perfect their language and their confidence.
I am a private tutor working one on one with my students
The best thing would be group work where they have 5 minutes of class time to talk to each other but only in french, it will help them converse better, and perfect their more common words, I would also try to talk to them less and less in English.

Use phonetics drills to improve pronunciation. Any good phonetics book will have exercises. My professor would make us record sentences and paragraphs in French, then he would listen to our pronunciation and highlight words or sounds which we said incorrectly. We then had to practice with him and then re-record the exercise. He kept going over it until it was perfect.
Choose a topic like a restaurant, hotel, airport, train station and practice related vocabulary words with the students. Then have conversations with them about the topic where you alternate with the student of taking the roles of either the employee or customer, etc. This will help the students develop fluency in areas which they may need if they decide to travel abroad. You could record these conversations and then listen to them and critique them together. You could then discuss different ways of responding to a situation. Other topics of discussion could include current events, politics, movies, books, religion, etc.
Another option is to explore an Advanced Placement book for French Language to see what types of situations students are required to discuss in order to do well on this exam.
Any opportunities to practice using authentic language will help them immensely.
