I’m seriously considering doing a French language degree (along with an Italian language degree), but the problem is, I don’t know what to do for my A levels (except French of course), and I also don’t know what I’d do after gaining my degree. I’m definitely going to move to France, but I’ve no idea what I’d do for a job. I probably wouldn’t go into teaching, but I’d like to perhaps become a university lecturer.
If you’re thinking about going into translation, take specific courses on it (like at least a full year), because knowing two languages or more does not qualify you to be a translator, there is more to it.
I personally choose translation because it is a career that can easily allow me a great family life, and could also allow me to work from anywhere in the world later on.

You could become a teacher or work as a free lance/ normal interpreter for business companies, for example, in German and French. You could become a university lecturer.
