How would one say "it has been 35 hours since…" or "35 hours have passed since…" in French? A loose translation is fine, just something to get the idea across.

The translation depends on if the action is completed or not.
If the action is ongoing the translation is, "_____ depuis 35 heures." ("____ has been happening for 35 hours")
If the action is over, the translation is, "Il y a 35 heures, _____" or "____ il y a 35 heures." ("____ happened 35 hours ago")
