I take students to France every year and was looking for something they could put on their iPods and which would be a useful reference. “What do I have to lose?” I said to my self. The answer is the $ I spent on this pitiful little, so-called “ultimate” reference. It’s too small and has pronunciation spellings that take up much of the space and would produce weird-sounding French. I can’t recommend it.

This handy book is very easy to use. I don’t understand a complaint that the book has no shortcuts to sections. That’s Kindles job, not the book.
How is the book suppose to create a shortcut to a section.
If you are looking to have a traveling companion to France, you can’t get any better.

i don’t speak french, and was hoping to have a handy dictionary on my kindle for an upcoming trip. I don’t think this will be useful for that purpose. There are no shortcuts to sections, and for some reason the phonetics are missing from later entries. not what I was hoping for, but the guide may be more helpful if you know some basic french to begin with.
