I am going to get a computer program called Rocket French to learn French. I am going to watch movies in French, and I am going to talk to French speaking people through skype. Do you think i can learn the language like this? Please give me suggestions for computer software, French movies, and any other way to learn to speak French.

Buy French songs on c.d. and sing along and also language cds and play them in your car. You can practise while you are driving and nobody has to hear you

I once was the same and so what i did was go on Windows Movie Maker and make a small movie of all the adjectives, this you do, opinions etc.
Depending on what type of leaner you are you can buy tapes, make your own recordings (some people learn by doing) or make little post it notes.
I am now studying french and have done for 3 years. You can join a class which teaches you the language. Or one other thing if you have just started learning there is this site called:
http://www.linguascope.com and you can learn the basics using a fun way. There is a GCSE one too and i thnk its called http://www.linguastars.com, it using little games too so you are able to learn
Hope this helps

Asterix et Obelix – there are comic books, animated movies, and live-action movies (all in French), those should help. The movie Moliere and Taxi (NO, not the American one w/ Queen Latifa, there is a classic French comedy of the same name) were very good. For the most part, just switch your favorite movies over to French with the menu. I would watch it both in French w/ English subtitles and English w/ French subtitles. I have never heard of the program Rocket French, but for any language you must master the basics before you really learn how to speak. I would suggest flash cards to learn the definitions of both nouns and verbs. Labeling common household items in French helps alot too. But to learn the many different types of verb conjugations there is no better way to learn than the dreaded drills. (aka writing the conjugations out over and over again) The book 501 French Verbs was like my french language bible during my first two years of French. Bonne chance!

The fastest and easiest freee way to learn French, from my experience, is to first talk with someone, chat, speak, etc.
Try to meet girls/boys on the net, and have chat, you can talk about anything and share your phantasms and feelings.
On the net, nobody knows u for real.
You can chat with a woman/man and study ,approve your knowledge.
Try the free links I’ll put for u in the source.
