I’m a 1st year french major and my boyfriend was telling me about spanish soap operas that are geared to people just learning the language. Is there anything like that for french like sitcoms or something?
in the u.s., not so much. there’s a good podcast series that i use and recommend: http://www.learnfrenchbypodcast.com/
they usually introduce the topic, have a dialogue, then discuss important vocab/grammar and then repeat the dialogue.

ps: try to download for exemple desperate housewives or any series in french, it helps !
