My friend got 31st rank in fashion designing entrance all all over India only 300 selected and she got 31st rank . I want to give her advice . So what are the chances of the future in fashion design if you learn french or italian or any other in the feild of fashion designing . Please Advice what ever you can for fashion designing . What other things are important in this field . I am doing lot of research on it for her . What advice to give .
yes french goes a LONG way
and italian if u cn spare the time to learn a new language bt french is better.
living in paris and understanding french culture also helps since paris is one of the fashion capitals so u should try to understand the cities and countries you’ll end up having to do fashion shows/work in.
im taking arabic and spanish and hebrew and soon to be french [i wna be a journalist

well i am nift india passout from 1993 batch and presently in USA as tech deprt head and managed leading fashion retail chains and if you ask me I don’t think language will help but its a plus.
so I will suggest her to make contacts and get to know people and India still don’t dictate fashion and its limited to metros so ask her to get global and try to get into company who does sourcing from India and look for a affiliation with company outside while still she doing her education.
