I’m trying to learning French online but quite confused as to which method to use.
Do you start off first with the vowels, consonants, etc… or listen and learn the pronounciation?
Appreciate feedback from those non-French speakers who have since mastered the language.
Vowels and consonants would be a very good start, because they’re quite different to the way we pronounce them in English.
Then, you could start learning the idiom; because that’s totally different to English!
You could use the link given below to be able to find a Frenchman or young French lady, whom you can help with their English and have them help you improve your French.
All the best.

At first, I think you should learn the vowels, consonants..with a teacher, or try to find some rescource from website and learn it by yourself.
after this one, I recommend you to learn French with movies,
it’s easy to learn any language, just try to imitate, I mean imitate the character on the scene, and listen, then, imitate, repeat these jobs till you can copy the scene from the movie,
keep going, I’m sure you’ll find it’s real easy to learn any language, BY YOUSELF, I don’t think you must learn it online or with a teacher.
Hope you will find your way.
