I plan to learn French by reading first before speaking & listening because no one in my place speaks French. What kind of book should i read first?

Currently the books i have are Le Petit Prince, Lonely planet French phrasebook and some French magazines. Should i get a grammar book and a dictionary before reading the books? Any suggestions?
