I have completed my intermediate level in Spanish and would like to learn another international Language. I was hoping for French. I do already speak English, Hindi, Bengali apart from Spanish.
How long will it take to converse (slow obviously) in French? And will Pimsleur’s French help?
How difficult it is to learn both French and Spanish at the same time? I’m fluent in Filipino which has lots of loaned words from Spanish (and I know a little Spanish). I’m working my way through Pimsleur French and Spanish and I have supplemental reading. Both are easy on the basic level in terms of grammar. Pronunciation (French, Spanish) is not very difficult. Most of the time I consult the dictionary for the spelling and conjugations after each Pimsleur session.
I want to know if I’ll go mad after the basics. Pimsleur makes it seem easy…
I will NOT be going to a Spanish country but will be taking 2 classes a week of two hours. I already speak French and Italian quite well. How long will it take me? Also, I intend to watch Spanish TV as often as I can and use Spanish as often as I can on the internet.
I want to learn to speak French and Spanish in school. I think I only have 6 years.
