I was hoping for French. I do already speak English, Hindi, Bengali apart from Spanish.

How long will it take to converse (slow obviously) in French? And will Pimsleur’s French help?

I’m fluent in Filipino which has lots of loaned words from Spanish (and I know a little Spanish). I’m working my way through Pimsleur French and Spanish and I have supplemental reading. Both are easy on the basic level in terms of grammar. Pronunciation (French, Spanish) is not very difficult. Most of the time I consult the dictionary for the spelling and conjugations after each Pimsleur session.

I want to know if I’ll go mad after the basics. Pimsleur makes it seem easy…
