I can read French very good, even unto Victor Hugo, but i cant understand when i hear them speak, thats why Dutch and germans never like them, not only cause of the difference in behaviour, but also the difference in ‘sound’. Thats also why the french have a hard time learning english.

I’m studying spoken french, and so far the hardest part has been trying to get the accent right. My native language is Icelandic, and it’s spoken mostly with an open mouth and on the tip of the toungue, opposite it seems to how French is pronounced. But it’s a beautiful language and definitely worth the trouble. And it’s much easier than I thought – almost the same vocabulary as English.
